Construction of New Water Wells 3A and 5

Butier Engineering, Inc. provided construction management and inspection services for the construction of two groundwater pumping facilities within the City of Huntington Beach, including structural buildings, piping/mechanical, and electrical improvements. Water is disinfected on the premises and delivered into the City's main distribution system. Water Well 5—an existing pumping station—was demolished and reconstructed entirely. Water Well 3A is a new pumping station. The projects fell under a two-year, as-needed contract for water capital project improvements.

Butier's responsibilities included oversight of daily construction activities; monitoring and managing correspondence between the contractor and engineer; performing site inspection of all improvements; interpreting contract documents and drawings; interfacing with the client; attending project meetings; tracking submittals, daily correspondence, RFIs, and preliminary change orders; and preparing monthly pay requests.
