Carlsbad 50 MGD Seawater Desalination Plant
Butier Engineering, Inc. and GHD were selected to provide Owner's Engineer services for the construction of a 50 mgd seawater reverse osmosis desalination plant at the Encina Power Station. When completed, it will be the largest desalination plant in the western hemisphere.
Ocean Water Desalination Pilot Plant Phase C Research Program—El Segundo Power Plant
Butier Engineering, Inc. provided construction management and inspection services for WBMWD's Ocean Water Desalination Pilot Plant Phase C Research Program. WBMWD has been conducting a Microfiltration/Ultrafitration-Reverse Osmosis Pilot study at the El Segundo Power Facility for over four years. The facility required modifications/additions for future testing.
West Coast Basin Desalination Program—Goldsworthy Desalter
Butier Engineering, Inc. provided construction management services for the Desalination Program, which included the installation of well equipment, associated buildings, landscaping, transmission pipelines, and site and street improvements.
