Scott Labs & Ogden Booster Stations

Butier Engineering, Inc. provided construction management and inspection services for the Scott Labs and Ogden Booster Stations. The booster stations are integral projects in a water boosting chain to lift water from the Lower Pressure Zone (elevation 1,249 feet) to the Palm Pressure Zone (1720) and supplement the water supply in the San Bernardino Municipal Water Department's northwestern service area.

The Scott Labs Booster Station consists of the construction of three (3) 250 horsepower pumps and the Ogden Booster Station consists of three (3) 450 horsepower pumps. Both booster stations consist of two (2) backflow pressure reducing valves and two (2) empty pump cans, various yard piping, concrete pad, block wall, all necessary electrical and SCADA monitoring equipment, installation of electrical services, and all other appurtenances necessary for a complete and operable booster station.

Butier's construction management and inspection services included on-site observation of the work in progress; contract administration; review of Contractor's progress; attending meetings; providing liaison with the Contractor; preparation of monthly and final construction progress reports; schedule review/monitoring; survey monitoring; and coordinating inspections.
