Century Reclamation Project

Butier Engineering, Inc. served as construction manager for the Century Reclamation Project in Los Angeles, which involved construction of a reclaimed water transmission pipeline system located along the San Gabriel River in the cities of Bellflower, Downey, and Santa Fe Springs.

Work included construction of approximately 18,300 feet of 30-inch CML&C; 10,500 feet of 24-inch ductile iron pipe; 9,700 feet of 8-inch and 7,200 feet of PVC 6-inch diameter pipelines; 900 feet of boring and jacking 42- and 48-inch diameter steel casings for nine major intersection crossings; an elevated 20-inch diameter steel pipe assembly crossing a bridge; a 14-inch meter and vault; pavement replacement and all appurtenances; incidental work with major traffic control requirements; and construction of pipeline within Southern California Edison power line right-of-way.
