Carlsbad 50 MGD Seawater Desalination Plant
Butier Engineering, Inc. and GHD were selected to provide Owner's Engineer services for the construction of a 50 mgd seawater reverse osmosis desalination plant at the Encina Power Station. When completed, it will be the largest desalination plant in the western hemisphere.
Nohl Canyon Water Storage Tank Project

Prado Wetlands Reconstruction Project
Butier Engineering, Inc. provided construction management and inspection services for the reconstruction of the Prado Wetlands, a natural water quality treatment system operated by the Orange County Water District which was damaged by flood flows from the Santa Ana River in the 2004-05 storm season.
Expansion and Upgrade of the Henry N. Wochholz Wastewater Treatment Facility
Butier Engineering, Inc. provided construction management and inspection services for this 8-million gallon wastewater treatment facility. The expansion involved major modifications and demolition of many existing facilities.
Newport Trunk Sewer and Force Mains, Bitter Point Pump Station to Coast Trunk Sewer
Butier Engineering, Inc. was selected by Orange County Sanitation District to provide construction management and inspection services for the Newport Trunk Sewer and Force Mains project, consisting of the construction of two sanitary sewer force mains and a sanitary sewer gravity main.
Perris Valley Pipeline
Butier Engineering, Inc. has been contracted to provide construction management and inspection services for this $80 million pipeline project, which will provide water reliability and quality benefits to western Riverside County. It is a joint effort between Metropolitan Water District of Southern California (lead agency), Western Municipal Water District, and Eastern Municipal Water District.
Construction of Terminal C, John Wayne Airport Expansion
Butier Engineering, Inc. has joined Arcadis' team to provide quality assurance/quality control services for the Terminal Building Expansion project at John Wayne Airport. Construction of Terminal C includes the following:
Reconstruct Landing Surfaces of Runway 1L-19R John Wayne Airport
The Runway 1L-19R project involved milling out 3.5 inches of existing Asphalt Concrete surface layer within the runway center "keel" section area and other high traffic areas of the runway and overlay with new high durability polymer-modified asphalt concrete.
Advanced Water Quality Assurance Laboratory
Butier provided constructability and design review services for the new Advanced Water Quality Assurance Laboratory. Butier is currently providing construction management and inspection services for the 39,000 square-foot laboratory, which is located on OCWD's Fountain Valley campus.
