The County "T" Hangar was constructed to provide a new airport hangar for private aircraft. Butier's Construction Site Manager worked closely with JWA's Project Manager, the General Contractor, and subcontractors in the erection of the new 15,000 SF, 13-unit prefabricated metal airport hangar facility.
Construction on the five-acre site included drainage, grading, removal of asphalt, and placement of AC overlay. The facility was constructed to incorporate power, fire protection/suppression system, flush mount fire hydrants, explosive-proof lighting fixtures, a restroom, aircraft tie-downs, and limited vehicular parking.
Butier's responsibilities included review of plans and specifications prior to bidding; constructability review of drawings; evaluation of proposing contractors backgrounds; review of submittals and RFIs; interface with design engineers and architects; inspection of work for conformance with approved plans, specifications and code compliance; and interface with jurisdiction building officials.
