Reconstruction of Taxiway Lima

The reconstruction of Taxiway Lima included the following:

• Soil stabilization using 13,700 SY of geo grid reinforcement for subgrade
• Placement of concrete panels (22-inches thick) using 10,200 SY of P501 Portland cement concrete and 3,250 of high early P503 Portland cement concrete
• Installation of airfield lighting, including hold bar lighting and taxiway lighting
• 27,300 SY of filter fabric
• Work was performed at night while the airfield was closed and required the issuance of Notices to Airmen (NOTAMs)

Butier's responsibilities included review of plans and specifications prior to bidding; constructability review of drawings; evaluation of proposing contractors backgrounds; review of submittals and RFIs; interface with design engineers and architects; inspection of work for conformance with approved plans, specifications and code compliance; and interface with jurisdiction building officials.
